Evidence Matters
Continuing forward in history, America’s first presidential inauguration occurs on April 30th, 1789. It is a warm, sunny day in America’s often forgotten first capital city. President elect George Washington steps forward onto the balcony of Federal Hall and swears in as America's first president. In his following inauguration address, President Washington declares;
The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.
Shortly after his inaugural address, President Washington, accompanied by the Vice President, House, and Senate, walks the short distance to Saint Paul's Chapel. Inside, the entire U.S. Government assembles once again in their first official act as a complete government.

212 years later, this same chapel will be engulfed in the bellows of an ongoing disaster.
