Evidence Matters
On a crisp Tuesday morning outside Boston, Candace Lee Williams finds her way to seat 14A onboard the Boeing 767. She is the youngest passenger on the plane.

Candace, along with 91 others, will soon be on their way to Los Angeles. Most, if not all, are unaware the island’s history from which they’re about to depart. Sadly, they are also oblivious of the historical tragedy soon to take place.
At 7:59 am, American Airlines Flight 11 lifts off from Logan International Airport.

Fifteen minutes later, Captain Victor J. Saracini advances the thrust levers on his Boeing 767 to take-off power. The plane rapidly accelerates down runway 9 and is airborne moments later.
United Airlines Flight 175 also departs Logan International Airport for the last time.
