Recommended Actions
Acknowledging the aforementioned Harbingers, Judgments, and Convictions, the Bible again reveals the pathway to Full Restoration
After 70 years in Babylonian captivity, the people of Judah were released and allowed to return home (538 B.C.). Over the next 100 years they departed in groups and began rebuilding the City of Judah. In 458 B.C., the priest Ezra returns from Babylon and brings with him the Torah (first five books of today's Old Testament). Studying the Torah, it became clear to the Israelites how ungodly practices had infiltrated their lives and those of their ancestors (See Nehemiah chapters 8 and 9). In response, the Israelites deliberately set aside a day to address these sins:
They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors. They stood where they were and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day (3 hours), and spent another quarter in confession and in worshiping the Lord their God.
The remainder of Nehemiah’s book describes the reestablishment of the covenant between God and His once exiled people. It is from this Tribe of Judah that the promised Messiah, Jesus, would be born.
Today, America and her Army must do the same if they wish to continue their existence. Recall the words from America’s founding covenant by John Winthrop is 1630:
We are entered into Covenant with Him for this work… We shall find that the God of Israel is among us… So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken, and so cause him to withdraw his present help from us, we shall be made a story and a by-word through the world.
After the earthly mission of Christ Jesus, Jesus’ half-brother, named James, wrote in roughly 47 A.D what would become the first chronological book within the New Testament. James addressed this book to the 12 scattered tribes of Israel which included the following instructions:
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
While this verse is frequently quoted in today’s western Church, many do not grasp the depth of its context. To the Jew reading this nearly 2,000 years ago, confessing one’s sins was a detailed, thorough, and deliberate process. Hebrews 9:9 references this Old Testament process for the confession of sins as an illustration for the present day, the only difference being we now have the perfect blood of Christ for forgiveness, cleansing, and healing. Prior to Christ, the Israelites relied on the blood of bulls, goats, and other animals, which remained inadequate (Hebrews 10:1-4).
As Moses once lifted the serpent in the wilderness for a people’s sins, The Messiah Jesus was also lifted, but for the sins of all those in the World (John 3:14-21). Today, if one wishes to open the door for full restoration, he/she must truly turn from their wicked past, confess their sins, confess the sins of their ancestors, worship the Lord, and believe with obedient faith in the finished work of Christ.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. No king [General] is saved by the size of his army; no warrior [Soldier] escapes by his great strength. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
Five Steps you can take: Recognize, Reflect, Repent, Request, Receive, and Rejoice
Recognize
Just as Nehemiah studied and recognized the truth, along with previous transgressions, we too must do the same. Study the facts presented in this exhibit. Determine for yourself whether the events are spiritually significant or if they are merely a string of coincidences. No one can make the decision for you.
Reflect
Reflect on your actions taken. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind any mistakes (sins/ transgressions) you made, anywhere you went against The Lord’s will. Any areas that are “yes” or “maybe,” write them down and make a list. It is effective and biblical to do the same for the actions of your ancestors.
This is known as conviction. Too often, many in the Church tie condemnation to conviction, sometimes even making them synonymous. That is an unfortunate and dangerous misunderstanding! Convictions are the Lord’s way of showing one the areas of their lives He desires to cleanse. Convictions are beautiful! Again, spend time in prayer, specifically asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate any convictions in your life, along with those of your ancestors. Write them down and repeat the process as you seek and grow in the Lord’s wisdom.
Repent
This step is incredibly important and requires great humility. Schedule a time to meet with a Born-Again, Spirit-Filled Christian, one who will not judge you but assist you. Spend time together in prayer, confessing the sins from your list, both yours and those of your ancestors. Renounce any associated spiritual forces of darkness by name, asking the Lord to drive them from you. Make a deliberate determination to turn from repeating the confessed sins in the future (repentance). Study James 5:16 as a starting point for wisdom on this, followed by Ephesians 4:27 and the Greek word topos.
Request
Continuing in prayer, request the Holy Spirit to cleanse and fill the areas once influenced by the spiritual enemy. Devote your life to serving Christ Jesus, asking for His will to be made known to you each day. Share your requests with the Heavenly King and Father, including medical and physical needs. Ask the Lord to open the doors of Heaven for the Holy Spirit to move in your life as He desires. Example prayers will soon be published.
Receive
Take time to Be still, and know that I am God – Psalm 46:10. Silence the world around you. Meditate on God’s word and the truths He has revealed to you. Open yourself spiritually to His will. He may move instantly, over time, or both. He desires a daily relationship with you. Invest in it!
Rejoice
Take time to praise the Lord! Worship Him for His glory and the freedom found in Him. He is above all diseases, all vaccines, and all spiritual enemies. Worship extends well beyond music, and can be summarized as being daily obedient to His will in all areas of your life (1 Samuel 15:22).
