What if I told you the sycamore-cedar tree was not the only parallel with Isaiah 9:10?

On July 4th, 2004, America began constructing the One World Trade Center. To begin, a 20-ton hewn stone, mined from a quarry in upstate New York, is the cornerstone of the new tower. It is a sign that America will rebuild and in a stronger manner.

As the tower nears completion in 2012, President Obama inscribed these words on one of the final beams:

We remember

We rebuild

We come back stronger

The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars. -Isaiah 9:10
